To my boys......

I started this blog for you boys. I started it so you could look back years down the road and see what our lives were like from your mom's perspective. As a stay-at-home mom to 3 boys my days seem filled with lots of noise when you are all 3 together. Our home is very loud and energetic. I feel like most of the time I am yelling (so you can hear me over your own loud volumes), threatening to take something away (to get your attention) or teaching you manners (so your wives can tolerate you someday)! I feel like I very seldom remember to praise you for the good things you do. So today after having several good days and events in a row with all 3 of you I feel like I need to document how proud I am of all 3 of you in this season of our lives.

Braxton, you have truly grown and changed over this last summer. You have always been very independent and eager to work and learn, but since school has started I am blown away by how responsible you are. In this 1st nine weeks of school I haven't had to tell you one time to study or do your homework. You have straight A's and your teacher said you behavior is wonderful. You have taken on responsibility at school beyond what is expected of you and you are enjoying the extra responsibility. I am the most proud of how you have set aside a time everyday to have your quite time and read your Bible all on your own. You have said you want to go serve in Nicaragua and spread God's word! Braxton of all the boys I seem to expect so much more out of you, maybe because you are the oldest, but I know what you are capable of and I know you will do great things. I love you so much and I couldn't be more proud of you and the "man" you are becoming!

Peyton, you always keep me on my toes and you always surprise me with what you are capable of. I seem to baby you, maybe because you have always been a mama's boy and you know how to pull at my heart strings. I am so proud of you this 1st nine weeks of school. We have not had any struggles with homework, you are sometimes doing it without being told! You have all A's and 1 B, that I know you will bring up by report cards. You have really shown me how smart and capable you are by the grades you are bringing home. Your teachers always love you, you little charmer! This year is no exception they say you are wonderful! I love you so much and I can't wait to see you excel in so many areas of your little life this year!

Easton, you make me laugh every single day! You are doing so good at school! You can write your name and are learning SO much! You are very smart and you love electronics. People have asked me what you like to do (ex. play with trains or race cars), but I have to say that you like to play on computers and you also love to imaginary play and it's so fun to watch you! I love your sweet little heart and how you are so honest. I'm so proud to see how you are growing up to be so smart and kind. You are the baby of our family and I tend to treat you that way, but I probably always will!

I am very thankful to be able to write this post about how proud I am of each of you and how I feel so blessed and so proud to be your mom! I know I tell you "I love you" everyday, but I don't always tell you how proud I am of you, so I promise to do better.

My prayer for each of you is that you will all ask Jesus to be the boss of your life and that you will live out a life that is Christ-like in all things you do, and then all the other "stuff" in this life will fall into place. You need to trust God and give him the glory for everything. These are things I am learning to do later in my life and I pray you learn them and apply them earlier in life than I have.

I love all 3 of you more than you will ever know!

Love,

Mom
