Thankful

I have so much to be thankful for:

*The freedom to worship my Lord and Savior and that he has saved my life!
*An amazing husband who loves me for better or worse!
*3 healthy and wonderful boys!
*A family that is so close and supportive.
*Friends who would drop everything to help me if I needed them.
*A wonderful church family.
*The blessing that my husband has a job and works so hard for me to stay home with the boys.
*A roof over my head.
*Clothes on my back.
*Food on the table.

I believe all these are blessings from God that I don't want to take for granted. So many of us will have a very hard time celebrating this holiday because of great losses in our lives. I know my family will struggle with our great losses and miss those that we wish were still here to celebrate with us. My prayer for all of you and for my family is that we will be thankful for the memories and the peace that those we have lost are with the Lord. I pray you all have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Love, The Carter Family

Weekend

A weekend update...

The boys were drawn out to hunt in Fort Chaffee on Saturday.
Uncle Joe shot an 8 point right at 5:30, yea Joe! We had planned Maw's birthday party for 6:00, so we patiently waited on the guys to do the whole deer thing. Then we....
celebrated Maw's birthday!
Maw with the grandbabies.
While the boys hunted me and little E just laid around and did a whole lot of nothing.
I did get my final birthday gift in the mail. I ordered it, but technically it is from James, and I love it!
A family necklace from Etsy!

The boys only have 2 days of school this week and their Thanksgiving parties. I am baking cookies for Peyton's class today and looking forward to family time this week with lots of yummy food, and so much to be thankful for.
