Literally

Easton: "who made you?"

Me: "God did. Who made you?"
Easton: "Joe did."
Me: "Joe did? whose Joe?"
Easton: "The guy standing in the middle on the stage."
Me: total laughter "you mean Joseph, Jesus' dad?"
Easton: "yes the famous one on the stage!"

I am still laughing! He is of course referring to the Nativity scene we set out at Christmas. He cracks me up. He still refuses to affirm the fact that God made him. We will keep working on that.

Fire

Wow, what a way to start the first day of school. A transformer next to the boy's school caught on fire and they lost power and could smell the fire. They evacuated the building, which was just a few minutes shy of letting out for the day. It was organized chaos! Our school staff did a great job, it just took awhile to get the kiddos. A first day they won't forget!

Because of the fire the boys didn't really say much about their day, that news overrode anything else that happened today. They did say they loved their teachers and they were glad they didn't have homework today (me too)!

1st Day of School

Took my babies to their first day of school today......

Peyton with Mrs. Brewer

Braxton with Mrs. Denson

Peyton age 7, 2nd grade

Braxton age 9, 4th grade

I can't believe how fast time goes by. When my babies were born Kindergarten seemed so far away, and now look where we are. Braxton in 4th, Peyton in 2nd and Easton is 3! I have had a really hard time this week thinking about school starting back. I am really going to miss them being home, and I know Easton will too. I am very thankful God has blessed me with healthy wonderful boys. I pray his protection and guidance over them as they start a new school year. I am happy they are growing and strong, but sad at how fast the time goes. I love you boys!

Here is a trip down memory lane of all their first day of school pictures.

Braxton's first day of Kindergarten

Braxton's first day of 1st grade.

Braxton first day of 2nd grade and Peyton first day of Kindergarten.

1 Timothy 4:12
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity

Sad day

Well our Lizzie got away from us last night and we can't find her. We last saw her on Lincoln street. If you happen to see her will you please call me. She also has a micro-chip with a number to call. We are so sad. Please pray that Lizzie will find her way back home to us or someone will find her and be kind enough to call us. Peyton said "mom why is she running from us when we love her so much?" Broke my heart.

Thank you so much Tonia for driving around trying to help us find her last night you're so sweet!
