It's worth it...

I have had a hard week as a mom. I haven't felt well, and it is the first week everyone is home for summer. We are doing swim lessons for Easton everyday for 2 straight weeks so everyone has had to get up early. Then the big boys have had ball games or practice at night. Between the 3 of them one or more has been a pill each day of this week. Sometimes being a mom to these boys is more than I feel like I can handle. I am reading this book and it has really spoken to me that I am not alone in this journey, God is walking with me and he won't give me more than I can handle. This book has really blessed me this week even though it has been a hard week. I love my boys so much and tonight after a long night at the hot sweaty ball field I can look at these pictures and think about some things this book has taught me and say it's all worth it!

Braxton reading Easton a bedtime story!

Peyton crashed out in my bed. He said "mom I'm so tired I can't stay awake any more". Notice all the cuts and bruises? This child has crashed and burned everyday this week. I don't know how he manages to play sports so well. I tell him his middle name is Grace!

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

  1. It's rough sometimes, but you're so right, so worth it. Nothing better than those sweaty little boys :) Anything I can do to help...

  2. Man, O, Man Can I ever relate too! Summer came on like a hot flash! The first week I felt pulled in a million directions! Week 2 I am feeling a little more "together" but not without toting a belt in my purse. No more busted blood vessels! Us Moms need to commit to do our best to pray for each other. . . I will do my best to say a prayer for all my "mommy friends" each day. You are a great mom-

  3. I can relate too. It is so hard somedays. I have found praying, and time to myself (with hobbies) and time away really does help me.. You are a great mom, yes we all need to pray for and encourage each other.

  5. From your previous posts, it looks like you should be exhausted! Then there is a time when the Good Lord says, "enough is enough" you need to rest! I never could figure out why there were visus' but I think it is our Fathers way of 'making' us rest! Summer is a busy time, so take time for yourself, that is so important then you can take care of your husband and children! Have a blessed Sunday! :)
